Spanish Winter hours have started. Opening hours have changed from the summer timetable. We no longer close for lunch. Open all day, every day. The antiques gallery and the watch repairers all have the same timetable. Every Sunday there is a street market too directly outside the warehouse. Come and find those second-hand items that you are looking for. Opening hours are currently:

You can find us at Avenida Valencia No. 67, (next to the Vergel Hipica Shop - west side), on the old N332 (near the Chicken Shack), North Industrial Estate of El Vergel, La Marina Alta, Alicante. The sign above the shop reads: SUPER TIENDA. The British phone box has been sold so can no longer use it as a landmark. We are hoping to get another one!

Are you looking for furniture, gifts, ornaments or a useful, second-hand item? You can find it all at The Super Tienda Second-Hand and Antiques Emporium in El Verger. Visit us now. Easy to park, easy to find (two minutes off the N332 - see directions below), and easy to browse and shop. Thousands of items for sale. 

Plus if you have any jewellery you no longer wear due to broken links or clasps, or have watches or clocks that no longer work, bring them along and our on-site jewellers and watchmakers will give you an estimate for their repair. 

The warehouse is open every day from 10am through to 5pm. They do not close for lunch. See you there. 

How to get there: Take the El Verger/Pego exit on the N332. Follow sign to El Verger. On 1st large roundabout take the LAST exit. It is a small slip road. There is a motorbike/sidecar shop on left (Taller de Moto) as you come on to the slip road. It is about 400 metres up on the left. Sign above shop: Super Tienda, Avinguda Valencia No. 67, El Verger.

New Jalón/Xaló Bridge Opens Just in Time for Saturday Morning Rastro

Old Jalón/Xaló Bridge

 Jalón opens its new, wider and two-directional bridge just a day before the Saturday Jalón Rastro sets up. Good timing!

Widening of Jalón Bridge

The bridge has been closed for a couple of months and all drivers have had to take a different route bumping over the river's cobblestones further down the course. This detour was also one-directional like the previous bridge creating delays, traffic and pedestrian problems.

The bridge has gained an extra 10 metres in width, allowing for a double carriageway, plus pavements for pedestrians.

Jalón's Famous Saturday Rastro

The closure affected the rastro as parking and access became increasingly difficult. But where some lose others profit as the Riu Rau Restaurant (directly on the detour) had an increase in clientele.

The Saturday rastro will be in full swing on the morning of Saturday 25th April with many stallholders and dealers pitching under the bridge, while traffic flows non-stop and pedestrians walk, without having to take their lives in their hands, over the bridge.

Do you have a watch or jewellery item that needs repairing? Bring it to us and while you browse 1,500 sq.m. of antiques, collector's items and bric-a-brac, we will repair it for you or give you an estimate and date for pick up.

We are open from 9.30am till 5pm every day. On Sunday's there is a rastro on the Avinguda Valencia and you can drop into the antiques emporium on your way through.
