A World of Unexpected Items

Today and during the weekend a new business will have its doors wide open in El Vergel, Alicante. A group of collectors have deposited their collector's items and second-hand articles in a 1500 square metre warehouse.

Upon entering, it is as if walking into an Aladdin's Cave, a cavern of treasures, trinkets and timely items. Here you can spend hours browsing and rummaging through thousands of unusual and unexpected articles.

You will find clocks and watches, statues, furniture, jars, vases and urns, tools, all types of glass for lamps and chandeliers, Wedgwood, Lladro, Swarovski, Tiffany, Murano, Spanish ceramics, English china, Japanese, Baltic, and US porcelain, there is art, pottery, paintings, books, art deco furniture, retro toys, vintage clothing, comics and vinyl among thousands of other things. There is something for everyone.

Our jewellers and watchmakers workshop is constantly open so bring your watches, clocks and jewellery for repair, restoration or just a good clean. We fix sewing machines, gramophones and all kinds of other mechanical objects.

Easy to find and even easier to park.

Find us at Avenida Valencia No. 67, (next to the Vergel Hipica Shop - north side), North Industrial Estate of El Vergel, La Marina Alta, Alicante. The sign above the shop reads: SUPER TIENDA. Look out for the bright red telephone box and several international flags. Open: Monday to Friday from 9am to 6.30pm.

Antiques & Collector's Fair - Salon Canor, Teulada, Alicante - Wed 15 August 2012

On Wednesday, 15 August 2012 (a Spanish national holiday), over 60 antiquarians will have stalls at the Antiques & Collector's Fair in Teulada, Alicante. Entrance is free during the afternoon event from 4pm - 9pm. This the the fair's 7th year and each year it has grown in popularity.

Antiques Martinez will be at the fair with clocks, watches, antiques, collectables, tools and an array of different treasures and trinkets. If you have any questions about a watch or a clock - Antiques Martinez will be happy to attempt to answer them.  

The fair is in a beautiful and rural area of the Marina Alta countryside at Salon de Banquetes Canor, Camino de Assagador de Canor, 03724 Teulada, Alicante. There is plenty of free parking available.

The Restaurant/Salon Canor is situated just off the main road - N332. Come, discover and browse antiques and collectables from the local area and worldwide. The stall holders are from many different countries around the globe. Articles, treasures, trinkets and collector's items to suit everyone at a range of great and  affordable prices.

To get there: At the roundabout on the N332 where you will see the Hotel 4 Vientos and the exit to Teulada, take the exit directly opposite the exit to Teulada. Go to the end, about 2kms. Tired of the Beach, No Sun in the North of Alicante!

No sun today in the North of Alicante! Take a break from the heat and the sand and come and visit the well-known Rastro of Jalón. Antiques Martinez has a pitch at Jalón Rastro every Saturday close to the tourist offices.

 

Jalón (Xaló) Flea Market is held every  Saturday – from 8am–2pm. Accessible street market with plenty of stallholders on the – CV750 road – Paisaje de l’Assut on the right running alongside the river as you leave the village heading towards Alcalali. Plenty of parking.

There are a large number of stalls with collector’s items, clocks & watches, rustic goods, antiques, tools, treasures & trinkets, second-hand items, jewellry and costume jewellry, books and much more besides.
